Moshi Monsters: December 2011

New to Moshi Monsters?
Wanted to know how to get around, earn rox, make friends, visit people's houses and more?
Here's all how to do it!
You can also learn where everything is and sonme of your questions might be answered!

Opening Storage
To open your storage, you will either have to be at home or at Dodgy Deals.
To open it at home, view the bottom right corner.
Scroll your mouse closely over the 2 icons.
One will be a map, and the one under it will be storage.
Click on that.
It will be a treasure box kind of icon.
You will have successfully opened your storage!

Placing Items From Your Storage
The easy part once you've opened your storage is to decorate!
To decorate or give your moshi monster food, click and drag the item to where you want it to go.
If its food, click and drag the food onto your Moshi Monster.
Moving Your Moshi Monster around the House and Other Areas
To move your moshi monster around the house, click a spot on the floor you want it to go.
You should hear a whistling sound.
If you want it to go there, you must not click or play with any thing else, otherwise your Moshi Monster will get distracted and stop.
On the streets, it's pretty much the same.
You just click on the spot you want it to go, and if you hear the whistling sound, you know your Moshi Monster is going.

Scrolling
To scroll left and right around your Home or Street, look to the middle and then to the right of the screen.
There will be an arrow going left, and an arrow going right.
Click on the left arrow to go left, and the right arrow to go right.

Secret Codes
If you have found a secret code, go to the Moshi Monsters sign in page and at the bottom of the screen there will be a 3rd bar.
Type your code into that.
For some Secret Codes, in the search bar on this website type in Secret Codes.

Puzzle Palace
Puzzle Palace is where you do most of your educational games.
There are 3 types of game choices: The Daily Challenge, Hall Of Puzzles and Multiplayer.
The Daily Challenge gives you rox each day, depending on how many questions you answer.
Say if you answered 10 questions, you'd get about 100 rox for it!
You can play it every 24 hours (thats a whole day) so it's probably best to play it as early as possible!
For the Hall Of Puzzles, each time you go up a level you'll unlock a few more.
Each time you play one of the games, you will get 5 rox per day for each one, and it doesn't matter how many questions you answer.
This may seem like an unfair deal, but remember, there are heaps to play!
There's also the multiplayer.
Multiplayer enables you to play against other players at that time.
You will not earn any rox if you win.
It's still fun, though!

The Map
The Map can take you anywhere apart from Shops, The Port and Gift Island if you are not a member.
If you are not a member you can go to Main Road, Sludge Street, Ooh La Lane, Some Shops, Puzzle Palace and more but NOT Gift Island, The Underground Disco, into the Volcano, The Port and more.
So when you want to go somewhere, you can access the map anywhere.
Look to the bottom left of the screen, and there will be a green square kind of simbol.
So just click on the spot you want to go to, and you'll soon be there!
Entering Shops
When you're on a street and you want to enter a shop, just click on it!
Note: Some shops you have to be a member to go into.

Making Friends
Making friends is easy!
All you have to do is visit a street, or look up a name is you Friends Tree.
Once you're at the street, click on the person you'd like to be friends with.
A book kind of thing will come up, saying the person's name on the front.
Click on the Add Me! button and then a little box will appeaar.
You can type a message into that so they can read it.
This is optional.
Next, click send.
Another little box will appear.
On that, click OK.
Friends Tree
You're probably wanting to know how to view your friends now, right?
Well, once you're home, near the door there will be a pot with a tree.
Click on that.
You can view all your friends that way!
At the bottom of the screen to the right will be a search bar.
Type into it the name of the person you want to be friends with or to view their room.

Going to other people's houses and making more friends
Going to other peoples houses is a really easy way of making friends.
You just have to have one friend - so click on them to go to their house.
They will have a Friend Tree too!
Even though you might not be able to see it, everyone has a Friends Tree!
If you can see it, click on it.
Then scroll your mouse over the person you want to be friends with, then scroll your mouse over to the right of their bar, then click the little plus sign that would have appeared.
Do what you did last time to make friends with the first person!
Note: The person you want to be friends with might not want to be friends with you: for example lolplz, she is so picky.
You can also visit other people's houses by heading over to any street you want to.
Click on the person you would like to visit, and the book will come up again.
The click the other button that will be next to Add Me!

Getting Moshlings
To get a moshling you will need some seeds.

Buying Seeds
You will need to buy some Seeds of Main Street.
It will be headed Moshling Seeds, right in between the Shops Gross-ery Store and Yukea.
Click on it.
Each Seed you buy will cost 15 rox.
After you have bought all the seeds you want, (you will need at least 3 to try and catch a moshling)
click on the Map.

Finding your Moshling Garden
To the right of Ooh La Lane, there will be a little cottage, a barn with a clothesline around it and a fenced hilly area.
Click on the fenced hilly area.
This is your moshling garden.
Don't worry, its private!

Planting your Moshling Seeds
Planting your Moshling Seeds is a bit hard, but you'll soon get the hang of it.
When you're at your moshling garden, there will be 3 signs:
To My Zoo
To Seed Carts
To Super Seeds
There will be a red sack next to it.
Click on that.
The seeds you have bought will be there.
To plant them, all you need to do is drag them onto the dirt mounds in your garden.
Wait for 5-6 hours for them to grow.
You may just have a moshling!

Collecting your Moshling
Once 5-6 hours is up, go to your garden again.
If there is a little animal in your garden, click on it.
Then it will come up with a picture of the moshling on one side, and info on the other side.
At the bottom will be Keep it or Set It Free.
If you want to keep the moshling, click Keep It.
If not, click Set It Free.
If you have clicked Keep It, it will automatically be put inside your house.
If you are not a member, it will automatically be roaming around your house, otherwise it would have gone into your moshling zoo.

Limiting Moshlings
There's always a limit, you know!
If you aren't a member, you can only have 2 moshlings at one time.
It will not be put in your moshling zoo for later.
If you want it, you will either have to set one of the moshlings in your house free if there is no room or set it free altogether.
If you are a member, you can put 6 moshlings in your house at one time, and the rest will be stored in your Moshling Zoo.
You can open your Moshling Zoo at any time and change your moshlings.

Moshling Zoo
If you are a member, you will have a Moshling Zoo.
You can store all your Moshlings in there, and can swap the one's in your room with the one's in your zoo at any time.
Anyone can view your zoo, and you can view anyone's as long as they are a member.

Prices Of Moshlings
Moshlings all cost different prices.
Some are free!

Selling your Moshlings
You cannot sell any moshlings, member or not.
If you aren't a member, you can set free moshlings.

The Volcano
The Volcano is the Super Moshi's HQ.
To become a Super Moshi, you will need to talk to the Gate Keeper at the Volcano.
He will tell you what to do.
Then, once you've completed the quest, if you want to become a Super Moshi, you need to be a member.

Ice Scream Game
You can find the Ice Cream game on Ooh La Lane.

Angry Birds Moshling game
The Angry Birds Moshling game is on Main Street.
Having trouble finding it?
Look for 2 people having a picnic.
Click on that.

Engen
The Engen game is on Main Street.

Flutterby Field game
The Flutterby Field game is on Main Street

Where Is the Gross-ery Store?
The Gross-ery Store is on Main Street.

Where is the Moshling Seeds store?
The Moshling Seeds store is on Main Street.

Where is Yukea?
Yukea is on Main Street.

Where is Bizarre Bazaar?
Bizarre Bazaar is on Main Street.

Where is The Daily Growl?
The Daily Growl is on Main Street.

Where is the Colorama?
The Colorama is in The Port.
Note: You have to be a member to enter the Port.

Where is Bab's Boutique?
Bab's Boutique is in The Port.
Note: You have to be a member to enter The Port.

Where is The Pirate Ship?
The Pirate Ship is in the Port.

Where is Paws and Claws?
Paws and Claws is in The Port.
Note: You have to be a member to enter The Port.

Where is Super Seeds?
Super Seeds is in The Port.

How do I get to the Underground Disco?
Well, you may have noticed some holes in the ground with lots of bright colours coming out.
Click on that and you will go to the Underground Disco!
Note: You can only play in the Underground Disco if you are a member.

I can't make my moshi monster happy. What do I do?
Moshi Monsters love to shop.
Take them shopping!

What can I do if I become a member?
Here is a list of what you can do:
Visit the Port
Go to Gift Island
Change your monsters colour in the Colorama
Have 6 moshlings in your room
Get a Moshling Zoo to store all of your Moshlings
Become a Super Moshi
Collect Secret Moshlings (they're free)
